How to Dress for Work

How you dress to work is very important, whether it is an informal or formal setting, here is some tips to be a lady at all times.

Always make sure you’re comfortable. If you have straps digging in or you can’t walk in those shoes then choose another outfit. No matter how good an outfit looks when you first put it on, you won’t look your best at work if you’re distracted and uncomfortable all day.

Dress it up. A well-fitting and distinctive tank-top can be casually elegant but consider adding a scarf or statement necklace to show your personal style and signal that you've made an effort. Clothes that fit you correctly will immediately make it look likes you've made an effort. Keep an eye on this too – just because you once took a 34 waist doesn't mean you've stayed at that size so, at least once a year, measure up!

If you love a certain item but wearing something that’s shabby, frayed, or has seen better days, isn't going to help you make a great impression. You don’t need to break the bank to look your best at work but keep your clothes clean, ironed and neat.

Looking and feeling great will boost your confidence and perhaps your productivity too!

The Benefits of Massage Therapy

With modern life getting more and more hectic and subsequently stressful, massage therapy is gaining popularity as one of the ways to counter this stress.

Massage therapy has a range of both physical and emotional benefits.

The physical benefits

Massage therapy reduces muscular tension, aches and pains.

Both blood and lymphatic circulation can be improved by massage therapy. Blood circulation brings fresh blood to our cells and tissues, feeding them with nutrients and oxygen, while lymphatic circulation removes impurities and excess carbon dioxide from bodily organs. In this way the body is strengthened and the immune system is given a boost.

Our muscle fibers become twisted and knotted as a result of daily use, especially for those people in office jobs that provide limited movement or scope for stretching. Massage therapy will stretch out these tight muscles, ensuring optimum muscular function and range of movement. In addition scar tissue and muscle knots that have built up over time in the muscle fibers can be broken down, reducing pain and tension and helping to prevent injury.

Massage therapy can address tension headaches and even eye tension and strain caused by tension in the muscles in the head and spending more and more time on computers.

Massage therapy also has a range of emotional and psychological benefits. Massage therapy improves a person’s sense of general well being and promotes relaxation as it relieves stress, tension and anxiety. This results in easing insomnia and depression. The end result is that it energizes and stimulates both body and mind.

Party Animals!

One day a snake, a turtle and a centipede are having a party.

After two cases of beer are gone, they needed more beer.

So they discuss who's going to go get the beer.

The turtle says, "I will go, you both just wait here."

Two hours later, the turtle wasn't back yet, so the centipede says, “I will go.”

So they open the door and see the turtle is still walking out of the door.

Because turtles walk too slow the centipede says, “You both wait for me to come back, I've got a lot of legs, so I can walk fast.”

The snake and the turtle wait for another two hours.

Finally the snake says, “What is taking the centipede so long?

So they open the door and check, the centipede is still at the front of the door still trying to put on all his shoes.

Finally the snake says, “let me go, I can walk fast, and I don't have feet to put shoes on.”

So the snake leaves.

After three hours, the snake wasn't back yet.

Both of them went to the store to find the snake.

And they saw snake stand there.

The snake says, " Don't give me those dirty looks, it only took me 5 minutes to get to the store, but I am still figuring out how to bring the beer back."

Some things to boost your mood

Have chocolates
Although sweet and rich, you may eat dark chocolate without any guilt feelings. The health benefits of dark chocolates are that it lowers blood pressure, increases the blood flow and assists the ‘good’ cholesterol. But, please only moderate portions per day, ladies but it will do wonders for your mood.

Aromatherapy is good for you
Aromatherapy seems to be good for you. Studies show that breathing in natural perfumed scents can lift mood, like lavender which is my favorite. So, indulge in some aromatherapy. Spray lavender water on your pillow tonight. Sweet dreams!

Send all your kisses for him or her
In your hectic daily schedule stop with a peck here or there or even blowing kisses to your loved one. The secret is that you must give your loved one a really lingering kiss.

Not only will giving your sweetheart a good kiss burn calories, but that kiss also reduces stress, boost your immune system, and strengthen your bond with your loved one.

Treat yourself with a manicure
Those hands of yours are like busy bees. They fly over a computer keyboard, wield hammer and nails, tuck in the kids, hug your honey, scrub, brush, etc. Treat these little hard workers with a manicure. Like massage, a manicure involves contact with another person through touch, which not only makes you feel pampered, it may even improve self-esteem. Now that's a stress reliever.

Have a good laugh
No one will differ from me – laughter is good for you. Studies show that a good laugh decrease stress, boosts up your immunity, improves blood flow, and stabilizes blood pressure. A good laugh may even help keep blood sugar levels down and aid digestion.

Call a friend

Good friends are good for you. Whether you see them every day or once in a while, friends foster a sense of belonging, purpose, and self-worth. Friendship even keeps you on a mental high. So grab the phone and give your friend a call.
